Alex Grodkiewicz
My grandad was a lifelong photographer, and no family function was complete without Pop snapping away on his chunky Nikon film camera. I’ll always remember his squinted eye, peeking out from the side of the camera and being slightly annoyed that I had to get my picture taken again. As I’ve grown up though, I’ve come to appreciate the pictures Pop took more and more. Being able to look back at our favorite people, doing our favorite things, in our favorite places is a real treasure and that’s what got me into doing photos of my own!

Pop isn’t here any more, but I try to bring a little of him with me to every wedding and every session. We all want pics that look good on socials: but I also want to get you photos you still care about looking at when you’re 70 and want to remember your friend’s weird hairstyle, the kind of flowers you had, or the things that first made you fall in love. Photos tell the story of your life. They’re meant to be shared, celebrated, laughed about, and kept forever: photos that you’ll want to share with your friends tomorrow and with your grandchildren in thirty years.
So be cheesy, be sexy, be weird, or be cool. Most importantly: be yourself and have fun! I’m here for all of it.
